Sensual. Heartbreaking. Passionate. Overwhelming. Maddening.
That’s the love Finn and I share.
It's the kind you can never recover from.
The kind you never WANT to recover from.
That's why we'll do everything and anything to protect it.
When my past chases me all the way to Outskirts, we have to make a choice.
Let the lies destroy our chance at future together or...bury them deep in the swamp where they belong.
Got a shovel?
Excerpt:
My eyes went to her throat. I saw her pulse quicken beneath her smooth skin. She twisted her pouty pink lips. Her hesitation only lasted a second before she wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me down closer so that the tips of our noses touched. Her lips feathered against mine. "Fuck me, Finn."
"Yes," I growled.
I may have been the one who told her to say those words but hearing them out of her mouth caused the raging inferno of lust within me to explode beyond control. I had a feeling I'd be hearing those words on repeat in my head for the rest of my life.
Fuck me, Finn.
I lifted her up onto the nearest table and pushed her onto her back. I tore her panties off in one tug and while I devoured her with my eyes, I somehow managed to concentrate enough to unbuckle my belt and push my jeans down over my ass, freeing my throbbing cock.
Sawyer moaned when I parted her legs, stepping between them. The sound was pure fucking heaven. Our tongues danced while we drank each other in. I savored the way her body felt against mine. Hard against soft. I dug my fingers into the flesh of her perfectly round ass before moving them to her pussy where I parted her warm wet folds and strummed her swollen clit because Sawyer was my instrument of choice and only I knew how to play her to perfection.
The look on Sawyer's face when I inserted a finger inside of her was as if I'd just given her a drug. She was high on the pleasure. Her lids were heavy. Her pupils large and dark. I was dead set on making sure I wrung every bit of pleasure from her gorgeous body and I gave her exactly what she’d asked me for.

Sawyer ran from her terrifying, zealot father in hopes of finding out something about the outside world her mother shared with her when she passed. She had keys, some money, and a rough idea of where to go. Once in the Outskirts she finds something she never knew existed; friendship, love, and a makeshift family in Finn, Josh, Miller, and Critter. She's found happiness in this new life, but all of that is threatened when her old community brings its teaching to the small town and with it all her past she thought she'd left behind. With some of the past comes good, but she won't get to enjoy it as long as her father is out to get her back. Sawyer knows Finn will do anything to protect her though, they have found a love that is meant to be and no past hurt and lies will keep them from a future.
"My heart fluttered in my chest like it grew wings and was trying to escape."
The Outliers shifts the focus from the first release, The Outskirts, from Sawyer and her escape to a complex story about family and friendships. We learn much about Sawyer's mother, her father, and her past that is built upon lies meant to protect her. We also get a glimpse into how much Sawyer is changed by the events from her childhood and her new reality, we see her learning and changing as her friends share with her and as she discovers love with Finn. Finn is still a total heartthrob, showing us that the brooding boy we first met really just needed to right girl to bring him back into the land of the living. He has his heart on his sleeve with Sawyer and their romance and sweet, over-the-top love story is something to envy. There are a lot of twists in this book, there has to be with a history like Sawyer has, but there are a lot of great surprises too. There is so much going on though, it's the sort of duet that reads like an extra long single novel and it's worth reading all at one time.
"And the day of reckoning was here."
I tried to really give The Outliers my entire attention, but it's an easy book to skim even with its unique story line. It felt rushed, like parts of it belongs to the first release in the duet, The Outskirts, and like the rest was added in to turn it into a duet. There were so many moments that could have been built on, but so much was going on that what could have been important slipped into the cracks and odd moments and chapters found their way onto the pages instead. The romance between Finn and Sawyer is fierce, the loyalty between mother and daughter, friends, and family is such a great part of the story, but neither gets the development they deserve. Ultimately, I wish I'd read these books back to back, waiting for the release of both, because it might have felt more cohesive all together.
"Your eyes give you away, Sawyer. They always have."
The Outskirts Duet is a perfect example of T.M. Frazier's ability to come up with a romance novel that is gripping and unique, featuring characters and story lines that aren't in every other book on the market. Finn and Sawyer are the sort of characters you will come to care for like friends, you'll spend every page hoping for all the dreams they have to come true. The writing is passionate, the story is fresh, and the entire duet is now LIVE so you won't have to wait impatiently like I did.
