The shiny strands of gold in her silky brown hair.
Tiny crinkles between her eyebrows when she frowns.
Her passion for neatness.
Once I focus on her, I can’t take my eyes from my newest obsession. Ever.
I need to know everything about her.
Her past. Her present.
The way she takes her coffee.
Exactly how she smells after a spritz of perfume in the mornings.
She’s perfect in every way and I was blind.
But, God, now do I see.
I notice the organized way she arranges her clothes in her closet.
How she visits the same market each Saturday.
The sounds of her breathing as I lie beneath her bed in silence.
Violet is mine.
She just doesn’t know it yet.

Grayson Maxwell is hyper focused on business, but when the woman who keeps his office running slaps her resignation down his focus shifts. He knows right away that Violet O. Simmons is everything to him and that he'd do anything to have her, anything. He learns her life and her mannerisms, inserting himself into every aspect he can, even sleeping beneath her. He knows her past haunts her, he sees it in her every action, but he vows to make it right for her, even if he has to do all the wrong things to get there.
K. Webster lives for the moment her readers convert to the dark side, she finds joy in us falling for the bad guy, so it is no surprise that Notice features a tall, dark and handsome stalker. Grayson is written in such a way that readers will find themselves empathetic to his situation, to his hyper-focused nature and his beyond inappropriate stalker tendencies. However, he does offer the sort of attention and care that Violet desired, but never thought she'd find. Violet is absolutely a damaged character, with a background that reads like a rap sheet. Mixed into the two main character's own stories are the stories of their family members. From OCD to hoarding, the characters are not picture perfect, but they bring to an already unique read a lot of complexity. The romance grows from the insane chemistry they share and the entire book only touches on the surface level of craziness that is Grayson's obsession with Violet. It's a read that will leave you uncomfortable, but will entertain you from start to finish.
While it isn't K's darkest book, it might be the oddest. It's twisted, it's disturbing, erotic, and still has K. Webster's special brand of romance. Fans of her previous work will find Notice as an excellent addition to their darker reads shelf.
