Amazon Goodreads
August remembers everything after the coma, or so he says, and he's pushed Everly away, unable to forgive her for what she did to him. Everly is trying to let life return to normal, but she can't forget the love she had for August, it outweighs the bad. When August's past threatens to catch up to him, he has to make a decision when it is Everly's life on the line.

Book 1 ended on such a massive cliffhanger I thought I would never get over the book hangover that followed. Everly and August allowed their past to get in between them, ruining the second chance they had after August awoke from his coma. Just like before, I loved August and Everly, they're such unique characters, even when Everly is being weak, and their love is the kind that can move mountains. Though Remembering Everly doesn't have as much angst as Forgetting August, it takes the reader down the path of each character's life after they separated again and it is incredibly hard to read and think they are doing the right thing. As a reader, I knew the characters weren't meant to be living separated and finally J.L. Berg gave me what I wanted. Though it came with twists, secrets, and some fear, finally these two are together. I really loved August's memories coming back to him, the good and the bad, and finally learning about what had happened between them that we never fully understood.

Unfortunately, Remember Everly doesn't feel like an independent novel, it just feels like missing chapters from Forgetting August. It is the story of August and Everly coming back together and finally facing their past in hopes of a happy ending, but there isn't much more to it. It feels like a long novel, because we see August and Everly living separately, making decisions I hated, but understood. I loved reading everything finally tie together and make sense, but it didn't feel like a unique story.

Forgetting August was one of my favorite reads in 2015, I fell in love with the characters and the story line. The writing was superb and is just as good in Remembering Everly. I went into this book with so many questions and the feelings I was left with from book 1 never wavered; I was really pleased with how J.L. Berg closed up this duet. If you are interested in Forgetting August and Remembering Everly I definitely suggest you pick up both books, because you won't be able to stop reading after book 1 and trust me, the torture of not knowing is hard after that cliffhanger! I really loved the Lost & Found series and highly recommend it, along with any other J.L. Berg novel.
