Dirty Girl Part 1 - Allie Cooke (The Velvet Rope Series)

If you've been on Goodreads on Facebook reading groups in the last two weeks then you've heard of Dirty Girl by Allie Cooke, the first in a novella series that reviewers can't seem to put down. I'd seen the same hype and it sucked me in. I avoid novellas, but something about serial novellas just does it for me. They're short, to the point, and the anticipation of getting the next part of the stories is all a part of the draw. Dirty Girl is no different, it's the kind of steamy, hot erotica you don't tell strangers you read, but it's burning a hole on your e-reader. Dirty Girl part one of The Velvet Rope Series is out now, with part 2 publishing on March 29th.

Charity looks like the good girl, she has a steady job, cares for her Grandmother, and dresses the part of innocence. When nighttime comes though, Charity is someone else. Armed with a new name and sexy clothes, Charity uses her charms to meet random men at the bar for quick and dirty one night stands in the bathroom, in the alley, in the car, anywhere. There's no exchange of contact information or promise of the future, just some sneaky fun. That is, until Angus Boone changes the game. He's been watching her and when he offers her a partnership, Charity doesn't know why she can't refuse him. He intends to scare her, but instead he's excited her.

 Very short in length and character building, Dirty Girl is one hot novella. We know only glimpses of who Charity is outside of her bar escapades; we see her salon job, her cat at home, and her Grandmother's illness taking its toll. We know even less about Angus Boone, the man who has the power to watch every bar scene and can't keep his eyes off of Charity. Their encounter is hot, very hot, and their partnership promises even more. The Velvet Rope, where we finally see what Angus Boone wants with Charity, is one hot swinger's club and I really can't wait to see what comes from this novella serial romance. I can already tell there's plenty of secrets and I want to know so much more about the hot, mysterious Angus Boone.

 If you're looking for a naughty, smutty, down to the point series, The Velvet Rope series is it, starting with Dirty Girl Part 1. What it lacks in character detail it makes up for with incredibly sexy smut scenes. I know I was left wanting more and I can't wait for the second installment on March 29, 2016.
