I took the last several days to prepare myself for the new year. I'm not a resolution maker, but I do like to start the new year with a fresh slate. I celebrated with friends, then I cleaned my home, read several books, and began my planner for 2016. I made a plan to walk into work ready to work, I food prepped for the entire week, and I wrote out my plan for this week and beyond. I know when I am going to exercise, what book I am going to pick up each day, and even what food I plan to make for each meal. While I hope for health and fitness, I don't plan to say "I'm going to do this and this," I like having low expectations. I like knowing I'll probably surprise myself. I really like a fresh start, an organized plan, and I certainly like knowing my time is planned out. Who knows how long it will last, but at least I feel good going into Monday (which will be today, by the time this posts to schedule).
I belong to and help moderate a wonderful group on Goodreads called Netgalley Readers. We share our thoughts on books, suggestions on future reads, and discuss Netgalley as a whole. We provide advise, companionship, and a lot of great discussions about anything book or reading related. We recently shared our shortest and longest readers of 2015, so I thought I'd share some of the other fun facts from GR from my year in reading. It's quite a pretty info-graphic if you ask me!
I would love to know how much you read this year, whether you share how many books or how many pages. Just drop a comment. :)
