Oh my goodness, Brittney Sahin has done it again. Forever Rome is an incredible contemporary romance that will keep you turning the pages and crossing your fingers for an HEA. Told in first person POV, Forever Rome follows Maggie, a football fan and sports journalist assigned to cover a soccer star's story. Marco isn't just a soccer star though, the Italian has kept his personal life private and very few know who he is off the field. Sparks fly between Maggie and Marco though, leading them both to bend their rules and share their secrets.
He wrapped his arm around me, holding me tight. And it made me feel...secure. A feeling to which I knew I shouldn't grow accustomed.
Maggie was such a fun character to read from, her personality shined through out the novel and she had some seriously witty dialogue. I loved how relatable she was as a character, though her career is a bit more glamorous than mine. She felt like a 26 year old and that's normally part of romance novels I have issues with, because they act too old or young for their age. Marco, on the other hand, is totally swoon-worthy and over the top. Just the way I like my book boyfriends. For being a secondary character he had a lot of layers that really built upon the story, giving readers the chance to enjoy his individual story just as much as the budding romance between he and Maggie. Then there's the setting, I felt like I was in Rome alongside the characters, experiencing the amazing sites and the short flings. Every location and character in Forever Rome thickens the plot, making the story so much more than just a contemporary romance. There's drama and deceit, lust and love, and even some regrets as the story builds from Marco and Maggie's first meeting to the very last page.
Marco was my red. And all of Rome was now painted his shade.
Forever Rome is Brittney Sahin's first contemporary romance release, but definitely won't be her last as it's only book one in the Forever Series. I really enjoy everything Brittney releases, but Forever Rome just might be my new favorite and you know I put Marco on my book boyfriend list.
About the AuthorBrittney Sahin began writing at an early age, with the dream to be a published author before the age of 18. Although academic pursuits (and, later, a teaching career) interrupted her aspirations, she never stopped writing—never stopped imagining.
It wasn’t until her students encouraged her to follow her dreams that Brittney said goodbye to Upstate New York in order to start a new adventure in the place she was raised: Charlotte, North Carolina. Here, she decided to take her students’ advice and begin to write again.
In 2015, she published her first novel, Silenced Memories. When she is not working on upcoming novels, she spends time with her family. She is a proud mother of two boys and a lover of suspense novels, coffee, and the outdoors.
